GSIS is currently looking for qualified applicants to fill in the following positions in its Insurance Group:

OFFICER IV (Reinsurance Manager)

Department: Reinsurance Department, Office of the Senior Vice President
Insurance Group
Salary Grade: 26
Qualifications: 
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably with Master’s degree in a related field
Training/s: 120 hours training, 80 hours of which should involve management and 40 hours specialized training relevant to the job
Experience: Seven (7) years relevant experience, five (5) years of which should involve supervision in similar position or with similar responsibility
Eligibility: CS Professional or any equivalent/appropriate eligibility for Second level position
Responsibilities/Basic Function:
- Responsible for the day-to-day reinsurance activities;
- Providing assistance and support to the Senior Vice President of the Insurance Group for determining and securing the most adequate and appropriate reinsurance cover;
- Collection of losses recoverable for claims with reinsurance support and coordinates with reinsurers for the settlement and collection of the prior inward and outward treaty businesses
   including losses recoverable, premiums receivable and payable.
Other factors that will be considered:
- Knowledge and competence;
- Critical/logical thinking; leadership;
- Personality/interpersonal skills; communication skills (verbal and written), and performance (for internal applicants).
- Performance Appraisal Ratings of the internal applicants at least for the last two (2) rating periods immediately preceding the evaluation of the candidates conducted by the functional group concerned and the Human Resources Office.
